eBook: Terraform Tutorial - Basics

If you ask me about one skill that is important for any infra engineer, then I would always suggest Terraform. The world has been busy adopting cloud technologies, however, the journey to 100% adoption is never easy.

When I look around, there is a lot of buzz about coding and programming principles and paradigms. And rightfully so, programming has accelerated businesses in achieving their outcome by scaling, improving efficiencies, reducing costs, and so on and so forth.

The exponential growth in the coding ecosystem is doing so well that our dependence on technology has never been so high. The introduction of cloud computing has only increased this reliance.

Recent years have seen the emergence of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies using which we can manage cloud infrastructure by leveraging the current best practices applied in the coding and programming world. Terraform is one such IaC tool by Hashicorp.

The intention of writing this book is to introduce the readers to Terraform and help them learn the fundamentals.
